Hello,
Sorry about the delay.
Both teams coming in off losses, United beat Arsenal 2-0 at Old Trafford to advance in the FA Cup. Goals by Fabio and Rooney saw the red devils advance despite Arsenal having 54% possession and 11 shots on target, forcing goalkeeper Van Dar Sar into several great saves. Lots of drama as United started 7 defenders, including the De-Silva twins on the wings and, in the second half, United winger Valencia made his long awaited return. Arsenal also finished the game with 10 men after Djourou had to be stretchered off following a nasty collision with Sagna.
So Arsenal's quadruple dream is now down to only one trophy: the league.
Here is a quote from a London Arsenal fan:
Arsenal's problem is: "Depth. When you have your top players like Fabregas, Van Persie, Nasri on constant injury rotation and have to depend on the likes of Bendtner and Walcott who are hit and miss (at best!), it's tough to put together a coherent squad. And don't get me started on the revolving door at the goalkeeper's end. Venger gets a little too settled with a player, even when it is obvious they are harming the rest of the team (Adebayor, Arshavin, etc.). The constant rotation of players hampers any sort of chance at putting together a solid run at any championship."
Nuff said.
